I know what you're all thinking......is she even still alive?!?!? I never update xanga anymore because I don't think anything interesting enough ever happens, but I guess I'm due up for an update anyway.

I've definitely had the best summer ever! This is the last one of my college career; so I figured I needed to make the most of it. I haven't gotten to do everything I hoped to do, but I've done a few things! Most of all, I've just tried to take it easy and spend lots and lots of time with the people I love!!! I did get to take a little vacation with Sara's family to Nantahala, North Carolina, and it was absolutely amazing! A vacation with a bunch of women trying to do all kinds of outdoors stuff.....it was awesome! I even got to white water raft for the first time; so if anyone is going, you better invite me to go because I LOVE it!!! The other very exciting part of my summer.....Jeremy got engaged!!!!! That's right folks, on  March 3, 2007, I will have a sister for the very first time in my life.  That's kinda weird to think about.......but very exciting!

I had to go back to work last Tuesday, but it's been great so far, especially since I get to see Sara everyday again! However, it means that I have to go back to school in less than a month, which is very not exciting to me. I don't think I'm ready for the stress again.

Let me end this post with a little something I've learned this summer......don't give up your best friends who are willing to do anything and everything for you for a boy or even another friend who is only your friend when she doesn't have a boyfriend. It's just stupid, and you hurt way too many people's feelings for no reason. I've definitely learned who my true friends are this summer, and I thank all of them for still wanting to be my friend, even in my moments of stupidity

So, I went to Waco, Texas, this weekend to see my brother, Brandon, and drive back to Nashville with him. I had an awesome time there; so I thought I'd share a few things I learned:

1. It takes a lot of practice to be fast and good at milking a goat....in other words, I need a lot more practice to become a pro at this....

2. Watching a chicken get slaughtered is quite vulgar...not something for those who get queasy easily

3. Don't ever walk to an orchard that is 10.5 miles round trip without major preparation for such a long walk....when you're only used to walking about 3-4 miles a day, 10.5 is a bit much

4. No matter how much I say I will, I won't ever study for a test like I should when I go on a long trip

5. An entire weekend, including 10.5 miles of "hiking" and 11 hours in a car is some amazing quality time to spend with my brother.....that had to be the most fun part of the trip

Currently Listening
Feels Like Today
By Rascal Flatts
see related

Things I have realized within the last week:

  • Coldplay and Rascal Flatts are amazing in concert, and I would pay to see them again...and again...and again...and, I think you get the point
  • I miss living at home
  • I miss my brother, Brandon, especially since this is the first year I haven't gotten to see him on my birthday
  • 2nd semester of nursing school is so much easier than the 1st semester
  • Amazing friends can help you to have the best birthday ever
  • Making bookmarks can be fun....until you've made 300...and still have more to go
